E-Media was founded in 2012 by Daniel Villota and Susan Villota, with a passion for digital marketing and inspiration from Gary Vee. Starting out as a small agency, Daniel was quick to pursue the digital marketing path in Thailand, despite it being a new field. Fast forward to 2019, E-Media had grown into a mid-size company with 17 team members and handling over 2 million baht advertisement budget per year for over 50 businesses.

E-Media has constantly adapted and learned new ways to stay ahead of the game. Amidst the pandemic, E-Media restructured the company to survive and is now rebuilding on stronger foundations. Today, our team consists of eight dedicated professionals.

In addition to E-Media, we have also developed other successful businesses such as Coffee Culture, Thailand’s number one online coffee store, Unchained Elephants, an NFT project for a cause with real-life utility, and E-Table Asia, an online restaurant platform for Phuket that is being remodeled and combined with the new Discovering Phuket.

2013 - 2014



Back in 2013, Daniel Villota started his journey by providing social media training to Angsana’s in-house marketing team. As a one-man team, he also began creating and managing Facebook pages and advertisements for local restaurants in Phuket, Thailand, through barter arrangements.



The following year, in 2014, marked a significant milestone as Daniel Villota established his own company called E-Restaurant. With dedication and hard work, he expanded his business and successfully handled the social media marketing for 12 restaurants in Phuket.

2015



In 2015, Daniel made the strategic decision to bring on board the first members of his in-house team, which included a talented photographer, an efficient admin personnel, and a skilled native English writer. It was during this pivotal period that Susan Borvornpotsakul, now the co-founder, joined forces with Daniel. Together, we embarked on an exciting expansion journey and rebranded from E-Restaurant to E-Media, with a specific focus on building our portfolio in the vibrant hospitality industry of Phuket.



April 2016 - June 2019



The years from April 2016 to June 2019 were filled with growth and progress. We opened our first office in Surin Beach, allowing us to cater to clients not only in Phuket but also in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. With a team of 8 dedicated professionals, we provided our services to a wider audience. During this period, we also redesigned our logo, giving it a fresh and improved look.

June 2019 - March 2020



In June 2019, we achieved another noteworthy milestone by expanding our office space and relocating to Blue Tree. This strategic move not only enabled us to attract international businesses as clients but also allowed our team to grow to include 17 highly skilled individuals.

However, our journey took an unexpected turn in April 2020. The global pandemic hit, and we faced significant challenges. We had to make the difficult decision to close down Blue Tree, which unfortunately resulted in having to make the hardest decision we have ever had to make: laying off almost our entire team. It was an incredibly tough period for all of us.

To pivot and survive through the pandemic, our remaining team members demonstrated incredible resilience and adaptability. We quickly transitioned to a work-from-home setup, ensuring that our operations continued seamlessly.



January 2022 - April 2023



After two years of working from home, we decided it was time for a change. In January 2022, we reactivated our office, bringing back a dedicated team of 5 talented individuals. We settled into Plaza Del Mar, with our team reunited and a new workspace.

As our digital marketing firm and sister companies kept growing, it was time for us to expand further. In July 2022, we moved to a bigger office in Bang Tao Beach. This move allowed us to accommodate our growing team. We wanted an office that had a laid-back vibe, something different from the usual corporate setting.

May 2023 Until Today



As always, Daniel and I are constantly looking ahead to the future for businesses. We believe in staying ahead of the game, which is why we made the decision to remodel both our logo and website. This revamp aligns with our vision for what’s to come, incorporating new and innovative solutions. And to be very honest, we are very excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.


